These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SecureHunt's bug bounty platform and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our Service. These Terms apply to all users, including security researchers, companies, and other participants.

Eligibility and Account Requirements

General Eligibility

To use SecureHunt, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
• Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable law
• Provide accurate and complete information during registration
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials

Invitation-Only Access

SecureHunt operates on an invitation-only basis. Access requires:

• Successful completion of our application process
• Background verification and security screening
• Acceptance of additional terms specific to your role
• Ongoing compliance with platform standards

Platform Rules and Conduct

Acceptable Use

You agree to use SecureHunt only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Engage in unauthorized testing outside approved scope
• Share confidential information without proper authorization
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts
• Use automated tools without explicit permission
• Disrupt or interfere with the platform's operation
• Create multiple accounts or impersonate others
• Engage in fraudulent or deceptive practices

Security Research Guidelines

• Only test within the defined scope of each program
• Respect program timelines and reporting requirements
• Maintain confidentiality of all discovered vulnerabilities
• Follow responsible disclosure practices
• Avoid causing damage or service disruption
• Obtain proper authorization before testing begins

Intellectual Property Rights

SecureHunt's Rights

SecureHunt owns all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including all intellectual property rights. This includes our platform, technology, trademarks, and proprietary methods.

User Content

By submitting content to SecureHunt, you grant us:

• A license to use, store, and process your submissions
• Rights to share information with participating companies as needed
• Permission to use anonymized data for platform improvement
• Rights to enforce confidentiality and security measures

Respect for Third-Party Rights

You must respect the intellectual property rights of participating companies and other users. Unauthorized use of proprietary information or trade secrets is prohibited.

Privacy and Confidentiality

Confidentiality is paramount to SecureHunt's operation. All users must:

• Maintain strict confidentiality of all program information
• Not disclose vulnerabilities publicly without authorization
• Protect sensitive data encountered during testing
• Follow established disclosure timelines and procedures
• Report security incidents immediately to SecureHunt
• Delete any sensitive data obtained during testing

Payment and Rewards

Reward Structure

Bug bounty rewards are determined by:

• Severity and impact of discovered vulnerabilities
• Quality and completeness of the report
• Adherence to program guidelines and scope
• Timeliness of reporting and researcher cooperation

Payment Processing

• Payments are processed within 30 days of reward approval
• Tax documentation may be required for payments
• Payment methods vary by region and amount
• SecureHunt reserves the right to verify researcher identity
• Disputed payments are subject to review and arbitration

Account Suspension and Termination

Grounds for Termination

SecureHunt may suspend or terminate accounts for:

• Violation of these Terms or platform policies
• Fraudulent or deceptive activity
• Security incidents or policy violations
• Failure to maintain required qualifications
• Inactive accounts (after 12 months of inactivity)

Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Access to the platform will be immediately revoked
• Confidentiality obligations continue indefinitely
• Pending rewards may be forfeited based on circumstances
• Data retention follows our Privacy Policy guidelines

Disclaimers and Limitations

Service Availability

SecureHunt is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted access to the platform and may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SecureHunt's liability is limited to the amount paid by you for the services in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold SecureHunt harmless from claims arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.

Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution

Before pursuing formal legal action, parties agree to attempt informal resolution by contacting legal@securehunt.io and providing a detailed description of the dispute.

Binding Arbitration

Disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be settled through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Arbitration will be conducted in San Francisco, California.

Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive the right to participate in class actions or representative proceedings.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal proceedings not subject to arbitration will be conducted in the federal or state courts located in San Francisco, California.

Changes to These Terms

SecureHunt reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes:

• We will post updated Terms on our platform
• We will notify users of material changes via email
• Changes become effective 30 days after posting
• Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated Terms
• Users may terminate their account if they disagree with changes

Miscellaneous

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SecureHunt regarding the Service.

Assignment

You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent. SecureHunt may assign its rights and obligations without restriction.
